California High-Speed Rail Board of Directors Meeting
August 18-19, 2021
*On March 17, 2020, Governor Newsom issued Executive Order, N-29-20 regarding the COVID-19 outbreak. This order removes the requirement that a location be made available for the public to gather for purposes of observing and commenting at the meeting.
The California High-Speed Rail Authority’s August 18-19, 2021, Board Meeting will be conducted via webinar and teleconference. Board Members will participate in the meeting from individual remote locations. Members of the public can view the board meeting online at hsr.ca.gov. Those wishing to provide public comment must register at the link below. Registration is necessary because the link needed to join the virtual meeting must be sent to a valid email address. The Authority does not use the email address provided for any purpose other than to send the meeting link to a speaker. Once registered you will receive a confirmation email providing a link and telephone options to participate in the meeting.
Times identified on the following agenda are estimates only. The Board of Directors has the discretion to take up agenda items out of sequence on either day of the two-day meeting.

An opportunity for public comment on all August 18-19, 2021, agenda, and non-agenda items other than agenda items 2,5,6,7, and 8 will be provided at the outset of the meeting. An opportunity for public comment on agenda items 2,5,6,7, and 8 will be offered after agenda item 2 has been presented. Persons who wish to comment are required to register on this page. Registration for public comment will close about five minutes after the start of the meeting. Typically, public comment will be limited to two minutes per person, however, the Chair may decide to shorten or lengthen the public comment periods, at his or her discretion.

Chávez Design Option, Avenue M Maintenance Site and Maintenance of Way Facility, and Palmdale Station) and Related Decisions.
An opportunity for public comment on agenda items 2,5,6,7 and 8 will be offered. Typically, public comment will be limited to two minutes per person, however the Chair may decide to shorten or lengthen the public comment periods, at his or her discretion. Following public comment, the Board may direct staff to address any questions or issues based on agenda item #2 and public comment.
