NEWS RELEASE: Authority’s Small Business Team Hosts First Small Business Supportive Services Symposium
Nov 4 2019 | Fresno
Small businesses flocked to the first Small Business Supportive Services Symposium hosted by the California High-Speed Rail Authority. Over 100 people attended the event held at the Bitwise South Stadium business center in Fresno on Wednesday, October 23, 2019.
The Authority’s Small Business Advocate Catrina Blair organized the event in response to small businesses who indicated they needed assistance with how they can be successful whether they’re working on or interested in joining the high-speed rail project and other government projects. Blair said, “We tried to leave no stone unturned. Small businesses heard from the Authority, high-speed rail design-builders, other state agencies and resource partners on how to navigate the government contracting arena, which can be confusing and overwhelming.”
